My Results

First, let’s look at the AI headshots I got from AI SuitUp.

First, here’s what I look like in real life:

Here are the images I sent to AI SuitUp to train the AI:

After an hour or so, I received 100 AI-generated headshots.

Here are my 12 favorite images:

Aren’t they cool?

I think those look very realistic, natural, well-lit, and more importantly, they look like me.

Most of these are something I could use in my socials.

The only subtle issue with these images is that some of them aren’t that accurate.

For example, this one is a bit of a miss:

It looks like a 3D-rendered character and not that much like me. There’s an artificial vibe in it—at least if you ask me.

However, most of the images look epic.

For example, how could you tell these are not real?

Love it!

But this raises a couple of questions, such as:

  • How do you make these?
  • What do these cost?
  • Are there free tools like this?
  • Can you customize them?
  • Are there other similar tools?

Let’s take a deeper dive.

How to Use AI SuitUp

First, let me show you how easy it is to create AI headshots with AI SuitUp.

#1 Visit AI SuitUp

First, you need to visit this page.

#2 Pick a plan

Then you need to choose a plan. I recommend the Professional one for 100 headshots.

#3 Read the instructions

Then you need to read the instructions. It asks for a bunch of well-lit and clear selfies as input.

#4 Add your characteristics

Then answer a couple of questions related to your characteristics.

#5 Upload selfies

Then it’s time to send your selfies to AI SuitUp.

If the image is too low in quality, this tool will let you know. For example, in the above image, it flagged one of my inputs.

#6 Choose the best picture

Then upload the best picture of yourself. This is the “base image.”

#7 Send and wait

Once the upload and validation is complete, hit “send.”

This sends the images to AI SuitUp. Now you just need to wait.

#9 Open up the email

This is handy. AI SuitUp will send you an email once your images are ready.

Click the link in the email to view your results.

#10 Enjoy the results

#11 Like/dislike to filter images

You can filter the results by disliking images that you don’t like.

#12 Save link

One thing that’s a bit inconvenient is that you need to remember the link to the photo gallery page, that is, there’s no sign-in option. I recommend saving the link somewhere so that you can access your images later easily.

AI SuitUp vs. free headshots

So AI SuitUp is a paid service.

But there are also free AI headshot generators out there.

Let’s compare the free headshots vs. paid ones.

One of the best free headshot generators I’ve tested is called Supawork. It’s also easy to use and faster than the paid ones. Just upload a selfie and wait for a minute.

Here are the headshots I got:

That’s just… terrible if I’m honest.

Here are more free headshots:

That looks like a fish wearing a suit. I hope I don’t look like that at all.

Of course, some of the free ones are still decent. For example, this one looks close to me:

However, that still looks like a 3D render if you look at it at a close distance. Also, the hair isn’t close and the beard is too short.

Long story short: I recommend using paid AI headshot generators if you want to use the images.

That’s why AI SuitUp is a good choice. It’s one of the cheapest headshot generators that produce high-quality results.

AI SuitUp vs. more expensive headshots

AI SuitUp is not the only paid headshot generator out there, though.

There are other cool AI headshot generators that I’ve tested. There are at least 10–20 epic headshot generators.

Let’s see how those compare with AI SuitUp.

Let’s take BetterPic for comparison.

Here are some of the headshots it created for me:

Let’s compare these with AI SuitUp:

As you can see, both look super realistic. (Also, don’t be confused by the BetterPic headshots because I asked those to be more casual.)

However, BetterPic gives me more control.

Firstly, it allowed me to pick 3 custom styles.

Then it also lets me customize the headshots after the fact.

This is something that’s missing from AI SuitUp—which is something I’d like to see so badly.

However, this comes at a heavier price tag.

To use all customization features in BetterPic, though, you need to get the almost $80 Expert plan. So this is more expensive.

Overall, I’d say AI SuitUp is one of the best AI headshot generators out there. The results are crisp, versatile, and mostly usable.

However, it lacks the customization features and control over the outputs other more expensive tools come with.

Pros & Cons

Let me do a short pros and cons section of AI SuitUp for busy readers.

Pros

  • Cheaper than other similar AI headshot generator tools
  • Easy to use—upload selfies and wait
  • Realistic results that look exactly (or very close) to you
  • Versatile results with high-quality images
  • Little to no artifacts that are only visible with very close inspection

Cons

  • Some images are failures—they don’t look like me
  • Some images have a 3D-rendered vibe
  • No customization features—you have to be satisfied with what you get

My take

I love my AI SuitUp headshots.

The cheapest plan is one of the cheapest in the market.

Yet, the results are good—just as good-looking as the more expensive headshot generators.

If you just want budget AI headshots with no customizations, this is the tool to use.

However, if you’re looking for team headshots or want to change things around, try BetterPic. It comes with a human edit feature.
