Best AI Detectors of 2025: My top 15

In this post, I will rank my top 15 best AI detectors of 2025. I’ve tried all the tools to save your time and money.

Let’s go!

Disclaimer: This post has affiliate links at no cost to you.

Top 5 Picks

  1. Quillbot
  2. Winston AI
  3. GPTZero
  4. Undetectable AI
  5. Phrasly.AI

Test setup

To test the accuracy of the tools, I provided three text samples from my own Medium blog posts, which are 100 % written by me. So the AI-generation score should be 0 %, right? Then I asked ChatGPT to generate three sample texts for me, which should get the AI score of 100 %.

The samples differ in lengths and topics, and the language is very general and not too advanced. Also, I only test free tools, or tools with free trial available.

1. Quillbot

First AI Detection tool on my list is Quillbot. It’s an AI writing assistant platform, offering features like paraphrasing and grammar checker, in addition to AI Detector. It’s wins the gold prize for it’s accuracy and convenience.

How to Use It

Enter their website, this is the landing page. Click on “AI Detector” on the panel, or this link to directly.

I was actually able to detect 4/6 of my test samples without signing up! After the fourth one, the tool asked me to sign up to continue.

My Results

And let’s see the results.

A little disclaimer: it’s good to keep in mind that AI detectors aren’t perfect, and you should be cautious when interpreting the results.

First, the human samples:

With the next sample, the tool flagged one sentence as “Human-written & AI-refined”. This could be if text-enhancing tool, like Grammarly, has been used. This is not the case in my texts, but the tool detects that this said sentence has a similar structure to an AI-enhanced text.

The tool still flagged 0 % of text as AI.

Then I tried the same thing with the AI-written samples.

So the tool passed my test with 100 % accuracy (6/6 of samples were detected correctly).

The tool has other features, like AI humanizer, but those were only available for the paid plans.

There is even an option to add the tool to your browser as an extension.

Pros

  • Easy and fast
  • Free trial available
  • Detected my test samples correctly 6/6
  • The tool has other features too, like AI humanizer or Paraphraser
  • Can detect some texts without signing up

Cons

  • Not the best tool for artistic or very polished text

Pricing

These are the pricing option of QuillBot. They offer a 100 % money-back guarantee.

To Take Home

QuillBot is not only an AI detector, but rather an AI writing assistant platform. It has many other features in addition to AI detector. I only tested this feature though and it detected my text samples correctly 6/6.

You can add it directly to your browser, or to you Word desktop app. Very convenient! This tool is best suitable for basic texts, artistic or other more complex content might be more difficult to detect. In my opinion, the price is affordable too.

2. Winston AI

The second tool on my list is Winston AI. Winston is a an AI detector tool, mainly focused on AI content detection. It’s claiming to be the most trusted on the market, by 10M+ users.

How to Use It

Getting started with Winston AI is easy, let me show you how. Enter their website and click on “Get started free”.

Next you need to register to get started. I just signed up with my Google account.

Here is the dashboard after signing up. To detect AI content from your text, click on “Start content scan” or “New scan”.

You can paste your text here directly, upload a file or import from URL.

My Results

Let’s see how Winston AI performed.

So Winston AI gives your text a “Human Score” from 0 to 100 percent, from fully AI-generated text to 100 % human-generated text.

It does so by conducting a linguistic analysis on your text, recognizing unnatural phrasing and sentence structures typical of AI.

My first text sample is from my Apple AirPods Max review post.

Next sample was from my Saimaa cycle tour experience blog post.

And it received a human score of 80 %, even tough it’s also fully written by me. But the tool is still confident that the text sample was written by a human.

My last sample was from my ultra-long-distance cycling nutrition post.

It received a score of 100 %.

Then, to compare, I generated three random text samples with ChatGPT, fully AI-written. Let’s see if Winston AI can detect that they were not written by a human.

The first sample:

On the right side, the sections that are most likely written by AI are highlighted.

The second sample:

And the third sample:

Each got human score of 0%, which is correct! Nice work.

So Winston AI detected 3/3 of my AI-written text samples correctly. My handwritten text samples also received high human scores, and the tool was confident that they were human-written text.

Winston AI also gives your text a “Readability score”. It literally scores your text, based on how difficult it is to read. You can use this to modify the accessibility of your text to your target audience.

Pros

  • Easy and fast
  • Free trial (limited credits)
  • Detected AI-generated text accurately
  • Has other features, like readability score, plagiarism score (for paid plans)

Cons

  • Limited credits in free trial

Pricing

Here are the pricing plans of Winston AI.

  • Essential AI €10/month
  • Advanced €16/month
  • Elite €26/month

To Take Home

Winston AI accurately detected my AI-generated samples, and for my hand-written text samples, it detected them to be most likely human-written. One of them received only a human score of 80 %. This can be due to my “polished” personal writing style, and the fact that I sometimes tend to use similar sentence structures to AI.

AI detectors can give false positives or negatives, and can also be fooled with simply making some changes in the text.

Despite the limitations of AI detectors, Winston AI performed very well!

3. GPTZero

GPTZero is an AI platform, on a mission to preserve what’s human and make every word worth reading. It also provides Plagiarism and grammar checker features.

How to Use It

Go to their website and sign up. I always sign up with my Google account.

Purchase a plan or take the 7 day Free trial.

And now, click on “New scan” to start AI detecting.

My Results

I tested the accuracy of the AI detection with my six text samples. Three of them were my old Medium blog posts, 100 % hand-written by me. The other three were fully AI, generated by ChatGPT.

Disclaimer: AI detection are not flawless, so don’t treat the scores as absolute.

Here is the first human sample:

The second human sample:

The third sample:

The tool even provides some details on how it based the analysis on your text, and gives feedback on your writing.

So 3/3 correct. Let’s try the AI-generated text samples:

They were all flagged as 100 % AI-generated, which is also correct. So GPTZero passed my test, 6/6.

Here is a snippet showing why the tool thought these texts were AI and not human written.

Pros

  • Easy and fast
  • Free trial available
  • Detected my test samples correctly 6/6
  • Premium-plan gives feedback on your writing
  • Nice UI

Cons

  • It was harder than expected to cancel the subscription

Pricing

Here is the pricing plans GPTZero offers currently. You can try the Premium plan for free for 7 days.

To Take Home

GPTZero is a solid AI detection tool that was able to detect my text samples generated by ChatGPT as AI, and my hand-written samples as 100 % human. With the Premium plan, the tool gives some feedback on your writing and also highlights the sentences that had similarities to AI-generated text.

Based on my short experiment, I didn’t find any cons on the tool, except that canceling the free trial subscription took a bit of effort.

4. Undetectable AI

Undetectable AI is an advanced AI assistant tool. It’s rated #1 Best AI Detector by Forbes, which of course caught my interest.

How to Use It

To get started, enter their website. Click on Start Free trial.

They offer a free trial for 3-days, you’ll need to make the purchase with your card or fill in your bank account details.

They have some other features as well, but I tested the AI detector. I used those text samples that are provided at the end of this post, three of them are my own Medium blog posts, hand-written by me, and three are generated by ChatGPT.

My Results

Let’s see how Undetectable performed, then! A little disclaimer: AI-detectors are not perfect, and you should be cautious when interpreting the results.

I inserted my human-written text samples first, and they all received a human score of 99 %. That’s correct.

At least with the free trial, there is no feedback on your text or anything, so the “Likely Human” score is all the result you get.

And next, let’s test this with the AI-generated text samples.

The first sample:

It flagged the text as AI-generated with high confidence. The sentences highlighted with red are likely AI.

Results are similar for the rest of the text samples, the tool correctly flagged them as AI.

The second sample:

The third sample:

Pros

  • Easy and fast
  • Free trial available (3-days)
  • Detected my test samples correctly 6/6
  • The tool has other features too, like AI humanizer

Cons

  • Limited credits in free trial
  • UI is very plain

Pricing

These are the pricing plans Undetectable currently offers. If I understood this correctly, the price varies by the number of words you’ll be detecting.

To Take Home

Undetectable AI was correctly able to distinguish my hand-written texts as human, and texts generated by ChatGPT as AI. So based on my experiment (n=6), the accuracy was 100 %.

The layout of the website is very plain, and there is nothing extra. But based on my test, a solid tool that successfully did what it was meant to do.

5. Phrasly.AI

Phrasly AI is an AI writing assistant, which helps you get rid of AI-like patterns and produce natural text, with their in-house models.

How to Use It

Go to their website. You can sign up at this point, but I was able to do all of the AI detecting without singing up! At the end of my experiment, I did login with my Google account.

So you can basically paste your text here directly or load a file from your computer.

This is the dashboard, after signing up.

My Results

Let’s see if this tool was able to detect AI-generated texts. The results from AI detectors need to be interpreted with caution, as they are not 100% reliable and should only be viewed as part of a holistic assessment.

The first human-written sample was flagged as 25% likely to be a mix of AI and human writing, with the most likely AI-generated sentences highlighted in red.

Even tough this review focuses on the AI detector feature, I tested the “Humanize test” feature since it was available with the free trial as well.

The second text sample.

It also received a fairly high score of 29%, at least compared to other tools that marked it as 0% AI-generated.

I’m curious why some sentences got flagged as AI. I understand that certain structures, or very long sentences, get flagged as AI. I don’t think the sentence below is neither of those.

This is the third human-written sample. Also got more than 20 %!

Here are the AI-generated text samples. They all got 100 %, as they should.

My hand-written text samples all had some sentences that got flagged as a mix of human and AI-writing.

The AI detection has two modes: Lite and Strict. I used the Strict Mode for all of these analyses. Strict Mode can even detect AI-powered grammar tools like Grammarly, but I most definitely don’t use Grammarly’s suggestions for 20–25% of my texts. I only use it for the occasional obvious grammar mistakes I make.

I retook the test for my longest human-written text sample, but this time I tried the Lite Mode. It still gave a pretty high AI-likelihood score.

Pros

  • Easy and fast
  • Free trial available
  • The tool has other features too, like AI humanizer
  • Free trial includes other features than AI detector
  • Seems more accurate than some other tools, even tough it gave me some false positive results

Cons

  • False positives: flagged some of my human-written sentences as AI
  • Limited credits with Free trial

Pricing

Phrasly.AI currently offers these pricing plans, a free trial or then the Unlimited plan.

To Take Home

Phrasly.AI is mainly focused on AI humanizing, rewriting AI-generated text into more human so that I’ll fool AI detectors.

I mainly tested the AI-detector feature, and it successfully flagged my AI-generated text samples as fully AI-written. My own hand-written text samples were flagged as most likely human, but some sentences were highlighted as mix of AI and human writing (perhaps the use of AI writing assistants like Grammarly). I think the tool was too strict and falsely flagged some of my texts.

6. Pangram Labs

Pangram Labs is an AI detector tool, with over 99.8 % accuracy. The UI is sleek and instantly gives the tool a high-end feel.

How to Use It

Getting started with Pangram is easy, enter their website.

At this point, you can sign up using your email or Google account (I always go with the latter). Pangram can also be added to Chrome as an extension.

My Results

My review is based on the following test: I provided six text samples. Three of them are my old, hand-written Medium posts, and the other three are random texts fully generated by ChatGPT. I ran the analysis on them to see if the tool could correctly distinguish which were human and which were AI.

A disclaimer: AI detection tools are not 100% accurate, and they should be considered indicative rather than definitive and interpreted with caution.

First, the human-written samples:

All passed as unlikely AI.

Then, I tested the AI-written samples:

They got correctly flagged as AI with 99,9 % confidence. The tool also has a free “AI phrases” feature that highlights the phrases commonly used by AI in your texts.

I was able to do 5 analyses with my daily Free credits.

Pangram also has this interesting feature, text side by side comparison. You can compare two texts to see if there are any similarities. Maybe useful for academia/school?

Pros

  • Easy
  • Accurate
  • Focused on AI Detection
  • Nice UI
  • Analyses text in sections (more accurate?)

Cons

  • Limited credits with the free trial

Pricing

Here are the pricing plans Pangram offers.

They have different plans for schools, developers etc.

To Take Home

Pangram Labs is a tool focused on AI detection. Their website has a clean layout and even shows references from big global brands. This of course helps build trust. The Chrome extension that can be integrated in to your browser is also very convenient.

The tool seemed pretty accurate based on my test. Would recommend this tool to schools and academia.

7. Copyleaks

Copyleaks is an AI content platform with a mission to maintain content integrity through AI detection.

How to Use It

Running the analyses on your text is very easy, just enter their website. You land on the AI Detector directly and can just paste your text here. Click on “Scan”.

Side note: Copyleaks provides accesibility options on the right side panel, for example for the visually/hearing impaired.

Copyleaks can be added to Chrome or Google docs directly from these buttons.

My Results

My review is based on this test, where I provide six different text samples, and test if the tool is able to distinguish which are human and which AI. Three of them are 100 % human-written, my old Medium blog posts, and the other three are just random text samples generated by ChatGPT. Text samples differ in lengths and topics.

First I tested the human-written samples:

All passed as 0 % likelihood of being AI generated.

Next, the AI-written samples:

All of these were correctly flagged as 100 % AI content. In the free version at least, the tool doesn’t highlight which parts of the text resembled AI, just tells you how many AI phrases it detected.

Pros

  • Easy to use, no need to sign up
  • 6/6 accuracy
  • Has other AI-content features
  • Chrome and Google doc add-ons are convenient

Cons

  • Limited credits with the free trial
  • Free version doesn’t highlight which parts of the texts are AI-like

Pricing

These are the pricing plans offered for individual users.

Copyleaks also has separate pricing plans for enterprises or schools.

To Take Home

The tool was able to pass my test with 6/6 accuracy, human-written samples all scored 0 % likelihood of AI, and AI-written samples scored 100 % likelihood of AI.

In the free version, the tool simply gives you the score, and doesn’t distinguish which parts of your text have an AI-like feature, like some tools do. Other than that, accurate and solid tool.

Extra points are given for the accessible option panel.

8. SciScape

SciScape is an AI tool, especially tailored for academic work to help with everyday research tasks. You can do literature searches, generate citations or find topics.

How to Use It

Usign SciSpace is easy, enter their website and click on “AI Detector” on the left side panel, or click here to enter the detector directly.

Now you can just paste your text here, or upload a document. At this point, you can sign up.

My Results

In this post, I’ll review the tool with six different, pre-written text samples. Three of them are my old Medium blog posts, hand-written by me. The other three are just random texts samples generated by ChatGPT. The samples differ in length and are about different topics.

A disclaimer: AI detection tools are not 100% accurate, and they should be taken as indicative, and interpreted with caution.

First I tested the human-written samples:

I was able to do one analysis without signing up at all. At this point I signed up with my Google account.

My human-written samples all passed as “Essentially Human” but some sentences got flagged as AI. The tool even gives an estimate about the AI usage probability, from Low AI to High AI.

Unfortunately I reached the limit for detections here, and wasn’t able to analyse the AI-written samples.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Highlights the sentences that resemble AI
  • AI assistant platform: has many other features
  • Based on my test, seemed quite accurate

Cons

  • Very limited detections with the Free plan

Pricing

Here are the current pricing plans SciScape offers.

To Take Home

SciScape is an AI platform, which also has an AI Detection tool that I tested in this review. The tool offers separate settings for academic and non-academic texts. In my tests, the performance was solid, it correctly classified my human-written samples as ‘Essentially Human,’ about 3–5% likelihood of AI usage. A few sentences resembled AI-like structure and got flagged.

Would recommend this tool for someone working in the academia/research.

9. Humanize AI

Humanize AI is an AI tool that offers AI Detection and AI Humanizer features. You can try out these tools without signing up (I was able to do all of these analyses without signing), even the AI Humanizer.

How to Use It

Enter their website and you should see the AI Detector on the landing page. Just directly paste your text there.

You can also access the AI detector tool from the upper panel.

My Results

Let’s move on to the results. I had six pre-selected text samples, three of them were my old Medium posts, hand-written by me. The other three were just random texts generated fully by ChatGPT. I tested to see if the tool would be able to distinguish AI-generated from human-written ones.

First, the human-written samples.

The other two passed but one sample got flagged as 80 % AI-generated.

Let’s try the AI-generated samples next.

Those were all correctly flagged as 100 % AI, which they are.

Humanize AI has another feature, text Humanizer. I decided to test it on the human-written text that got falsely flagged as AI.

The green parts are words replaced by AI to sound more human.

Then, I put the humanized text into the AI detector, and it really had an effect on the AI score.

Pros

  • Easy, no need to sign up
  • Humanizer tool actually improved the AI score
  • Can switch between dark/light modes

Cons

  • Falsely flagged my human-written text as AI

Pricing

Humanize AI offers these plans.

To Take Home

The tool performance was solid, it flagged 5/6 correctly. Just one of my hand-written texts got falsely flagged as AI.

I tested the Humanizer feature on that text sample, and then re-run the AI Detection analysis. Score went to almost 0 % likelihood of AI.

This does raise some concerns about the accuracy, but otherwise I was pretty satisfied with Humanize AI.

10. Scribbr

Scribbr is an AI assistant tool developed to identify AI-generated content and improve your writing. It uses its sister company QuillBot’s integrated model for AI detection.

How to Use It

Getting started with Scribbr was very easy, no signing up was required. So simply enter their website and paste your text into the free AI detector on the landing page.

After adding your text, just click on the “Detect AI”.

My Results

Let’s see how Scribbr AI performed. I provided six text samples, three of them were from my old Medium posts, so they were 100 % hand-written by me. The other three were just random text samples generated by ChatGPT. I also tried to choose samples that differed in length.

First, the human-written samples:

They all passed as 0 % likelihood of being generated by AI. In the last image, you can see that one sentence is highlighted in blue, meaning that the tool is suspecting the sentence to be human-written but refined with AI. This usually means using AI text refinement tool like Grammarly etc. This wasn’t the case with my texts.

Then, let’s move on to the AI-written text samples:

The tool flagged all of them as 100 % AI-generated, which is correct.

I was curious if I can fool the AI by adding some typos and changing the AI-obvious sentence structures to more human-like. I rerun the analysis on the second AI text, but it still scored 100 % likelihood of AI.

A disclaimer:

Pros

  • Free trial available, no need to sign up
  • Easy and fast
  • Detected 6/6 of my text samples correctly
  • Has other features, like plagiarism checker, proofreading tools etc.

Cons

  • No cons based on my test

Pricing

Scribbr has prices per service, for example here is price table per document for Plagiarism checker. You can test it for free, but the free version is very limited.

Here is another pricing example, a human editing service for your thesis or article.

To Take Home

Scribbr is a solid AI-content platform, that offers proofreading, citation tools and gives feedback on your grammar.

The main feature I tested was the AI detector. It was able to detect all my text samples correctly. The tool even passed one extra test where I modified the AI-generated sample and made it look more human-written. The tool still flagged it as 100 % AI-generated.

Sribbr and Quillbot are sister companies and it seems that Scribbr is integrated Quillbot’s AI detection tool. In that sense, I don’t know why I would choose this tool instead of just using Quillbot, to be honest.

11. Grammarly

I’m sure many are familiar with Grammarly as a writing assistant tool, but it has many other features too, like the AI Detection tool.

How to Use It

You can use the AI Detector without signing up, enter their website and just paste your text here.

If you want to sign up and purchase a 7-day free trial to access the Premium features, click on “Get Grammarly”.

My Results

A disclaimer: The outputs from AI detectors are just estimates and may not always reflect reality, so you shouldn’t base any decision on them.

First, I tested the tool without signing up. The human-written samples are first.

They all passed with 0 % likelihood of being AI-generated.

Let’s test the AI-written samples next.

The first two passed easily, but the last and longest text sample scored 88 %. There are no other features with this free plan, the tool doesn’t highlight which parts of the text are likely AI-generated.

I signed up for the 7-day free trial and tested the tool again.

This is the dashboard. You can also upload files directly from your computer with the Premium plan.

I rerun the analysis on the AI-sample number three, that got the lowest score. Click on “AI Detector” on the right side panel.

It highlighted the parts that resemble AI-like patterns. The tool recommends that I cite generative AI in this part.

I didn’t test the other features in this review, but the Premium plan gives you access to those as well.

Pros

  • Easy and trustworthy tool
  • Can do basic AI Detection without signing up
  • Quite accurate
  • Has many other features

Cons

  • The Free version is plain, only gives you the AI-likelihood score
  • AI Detection tool feels very basic

Pricing

These are Grammarly’s current prices for Premium plans.

To Take Home

You can use Grammarly for basic AI Detection for free, no sign up needed. You can also test the paid Pro plan for free for 7-days to get access to all of the features. The free version is very plain, only giving the AI-likelihood score, and nothing else.

For solely AI Detection, Grammarly isn’t my favourite tool. For other purposes, like if you are in need of grammar correction, or plagiarism checking, I recommend this tool.

12. ZeroGPT

ZeroGPT (name is awfully similar to GPTZero) is claiming to be the most Advanced and Reliable AI content detector, let’s test it out.

How to Use It

Using ZeroGPT is very easy. Once again, just enter their website and you see the AI Detector on the landing page. No need to sign up to use it.

Just paste your text there directly or upload a file. You can check up to 350,000 characters without subscription.

My Results

I have six pre-selected text samples I used to test the accuracy of the tool. Three of them were snippets from my old Medium posts, hand-written by me. And the other three were just random texts generated by ChatGPT, which makes them 100 % AI-generated.

First, let’s test the human-generated samples.

It rated all of the text samples human-written but may include parts that are generated by AI. Usually this means using AI text enhancement like Grammarly. This isn’t the case with these text samples.

The sentences highlighted in yellow have an AI-like structure, and the tool thinks it’s likely generated by AI. This can mean the language is very general and lacks personality, or the the sentence is very long etc.

Let’s try the AI-generated samples next.

Those were correctly flagged as AI-generated.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • No need to sign up to test the AI detector
  • Has other features, like plagiarism checker, proofreading tools etc.
  • Quite accurate

Cons

  • The ads that appear after the scan can get a little irritating
  • Flagges some of my human-written sentences as likely AI-generated
  • Very plain UI, looks cheap

Pricing

Here are the pricing plans ZeroGPT has at the moment.

And a comparison of their features.

To Take Home

ZeroGPT is an AI-assistant platform. It has other features in addition to AI Detection, like AI Summarizer, Paraphraser and Plagiarism checker that are available for Premium users. The AI Detection tool was able to flag my AI-generated text samples as AI, but some of my human-written sentences got also falsely flagged as AI-generated. So, it’s a solid tool but not the best out there.

The ads that start flashing when looking at the result page are quite annoying, and lower the points. I guess they are removed with the Premium plans.

13. Merlin

Merlin is an AI content platform, and AI detection tools is just one of the many tools.

How to Use It

Go to their website. From the panel on the left, you’ll find the AI detector under “AI Tools”. Here is a direct link.

I signed up with my Google account.

This is what the dashboard looks like. You can just paste or upload your text and click on “Detect AI”.

My Results

Let’s see if Merlin can accurately distinguish my AI-written text samples from my human-written ones. I have three hand-written texts, that are 100 % written by me, my old Medium blog posts. And the other three are just generated by ChatGPT.

A little disclaimer:

The first human sample got 15 % of AI likelihood. The senteces highlighted in yellow are likely AI generated.

With the second sample, I clicked on the “Humanize AI Content”. With the Free plan, I was able to “humanize” one text sample.

But the after the humanization, the AI likelihood score actually went from 34 % to over 70 %.

The last human sample:

So far the detection hasn’t been very succesful, let’s see if it can detect fully AI-written texts.

This was clearly easier, Merlin flagged 2/3 texts as 100 % AI-generated and the last one got 73 %.

Pros

  • Free trial available (limited credits)
  • Dark-mode UI is nice
  • Easy and fast
  • Has other features, including AI humanizing and AI image generation

Cons

  • False positives on my human-written texts.
  • the Humanizing feature actually increased the AI-likelihood score.

Pricing

Currently Merlin offers these pricing plan, along with the Free plan.

To Take Home

According to my test, Merlin flagged some of my human-written sentences as AI. And one of the fully AI-generated texts got 27 % likelihood of being human-generated. So, I guess it’s not the most reliable AI detection tool out there.

Also I was able to test the humanizing feature with the Free plan, and the result wasn’t great. The AI likelihood score actually increased after “humanizing”. The UI looks cheap.

14. BrandWell

BrandWell is an AI SEO tool for delivering Google-ranking content. It also has a feature for detecting AI content, created by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and various other language models.

How to Use It

Using BrandWell is very easy, just enter their website. You can do AI Detection without signing up, for free. Just paste your text, or upload a document and start scanning.

My Results

I used my six text samples to test out the accuracy of the tool.

A disclaimer: AI Detectors are not 100 % trustworthy, and the results should be intepreted with caution.

First, the human samples.

So, the free version has a 2500 character limit. As we know, the longer the text, the more accurate the analysis. This might distort the results.

Let’s try the AI-generated samples next:

The parts highlighted in red were flagged as likely AI-generated.

One of my 100 % AI-written texts passed as human.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Can do free AI detection without signing up

Cons

  • Website is a bit confusing (other than the AI Detector itself)
  • Inaccurate
  • Free detection is limited to 2500 characters

Pricing

Here are some of the pricing options BrandWell offers.

To Take Home

BrandWell is actually an SEO tool, deliver Google-ranking content. AI Detection is just one of the many features.

The AI Detection tool itself didn’t convince me, as it failed to flag one of my AI-written samples. Maybe I would recommend looking into BrandWell if you are interested in their other features, but solely for AI Detection, there are better tools.

15. JustDone

Last AND least on my list is JustDone. It’s an AI assistant tool, which provides plagiarism checker, text humanizer and paraphraser services, in addition to AI detection.

How to Use It

No sign-up is needed to try the AI detector. Just enter their website and click on the “AI Detector” on the panel.

Enter your text directly or upload a file.

My Results

I tested the tool with six text samples, three of them were my old Medium posts, 100 % written by me. The other three were just random texts generated by ChatGPT.

First, the human samples.

Surprising results… The tool thinks my texts were most likely AI-generated. Even though other tools often score them 0 % likely AI-generated, which they are!

Also, after each scan, the tool offers to “Humanize” my text, with additional of course.

Let’s try the AI-generated test samples then.

The scores were similar to the human-generated ones. And one of these samples generated by ChatGPT actually received the lowest AI-score of this test, 71 %.

To humanize your text and see the result, you have purchase a plan.

Pros

  • Easy to use

Here are the plans JustDone currently offers.

To Take Home

JustDone is an AI assistant platform that offers Plagiarism detector, Text Humanizer and other features in addition to AI Detector.

I tested the AI Detector feature with my pre-made text samples, and unfortunately the tool didn’t pass. It couldn’t distinguish my hand-written texts from AI-generated. The tool was just trying to promote it’s text humanizing service for me to purchase.

Maybe the paid plans are more accurate, but based on my experience with the free version, can’t recommend.

Originally Apple AirPods Max was launched back in 2020, and the updated USB-C supported model was released in September 2024. The only difference is that Lightning connector was replaced with USB-C. Having only used the in-ear AirPods before, I was excited to try Apple’s around-ear AirPods Max. They are available in multiple colours but I chose the classic Starlight grey. The design feels luxurious and the headphones are just beautiful. At first glance, the earphones appear quite bulky and heavy, weighing around 385 g. I was worried that after wearing themin my head for a while, I would start feeling fatigued or discomforted. The mesh headband and well-cushioned ear cups are surprisingly comfortable. The large cups fit over the ears without putting any pressure anywhere and the textile-material feels nice and cool towards the skin. Cups are removable and held in place by a magnet. After been using these for 6 months, the cups get dirty very easily! Especially in this light colour. I used to wear these to the gym and they would get sweat-stained quickly. The stains do come off and the removable cups are relatively easy to wash.

In this July, I took part in a road cycling event called Saimaa Cycle Tour or SCT for short. It’s a 300-kilometer route through the lakeside of Saimaa, Finland’s largest lake. It’s the biggest cycling event in Finland, with thousands of participants from all over the world. The ride starts late in the evening and is completed overnight, so you really get to experience the Nordic nightless night. The sun sets around 11 pm and rises again after 3 am, so only a few hours of darkness. This was actually my second time participating, and once again I truly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is cheerful, and people excited and supportive of each other. Fuel and hydration are well taken care of by the event organizers. Selection of sports drinks, water, coffee, and carbs are provided by the organizer at a total of eight pit stops. Two of them even offer a warm, carbohydrate rich meal. Proper fuelling is essential, especially during an ultra-long distance like this! I wasn’t fully rested beforehand due to having worked night shift just before the race, so I was a bit nervous that extreme tiredness might hit me at some point. And it did, around three in the morning. When we stopped at a pit stop and sat there for a while, it felt impossible to keep going. Luckily, with the support of my teammates who kept pushing me, I managed to snap out of it, and we completed the ride in 11 hours (moving time). I was happy with this, considering my terrible preparation. I’ll definitely be back next year, at this point, it’s become a tradition by now!

Here is my guide to fuelling for ultra-long distance cycling event. Without proper energy, you will exhaust yourself, your performance will decline, and in the worst-case scenario, you won’t be able to finish. In your head, cycling might feel easier than running since there is less impact on the joints. But cycling hundreds of kilometers requires exceptional physical and cardiovascular endurance and is also mentally exhausting. I have completed an ultra long 300 km ride twice and I’ll tell you my nutrition plan. Mind you I’m no professional and will only be sharing my plan that worked for me.

Day or two before the ride

You should aim at eating normally few days before the ride but maybe keep your meals carbohydrate heavy. Something that you know is easily digestible for you, for example pasta, rice, and oatmeal. There is no need for excessive carb loading. Avoid overeating carbs too late in the evening, as it might impact your quality of sleep. I cooked myself a nice portion of pasta with some lighter proteins, such as fish, and kept my portion sizes normal so that they filled me just enough. Just remember to hydrate well!

Try to eat your breakfast 90–120 minutes before you start riding. If you are aiming for an easier pace, you can even do breakfast 60 minutes before. Porridge makes an ideal pre-ride meal, and for longer rides, adding some lighter proteins like eggs, provides extra slow-release energy and keeps you full for longer. If your race starts later or in the evening, same goes for lunch. Some easily digestible carbs topped with some lighter protein, like fish or chicken. Pasta is my favourite. If you are a coffee drinker like me, remember to pay extra attention to hydration since coffee is a diuretic.

It’s race time! Carbohydrates should be eaten in small, frequent amounts. Depending on the intensity of the ride, aim for 0.5–1 g of carbohydrates per kg of bodyweight per hour, and try to intake some carbs every 30 minutes. It’s not too difficult to meet your needs, but it’s very easy to overdo it. Overloading with carbs can lead to gut distress and stomach problems, and trust me, you don’t want to deal with that during your race! Your body already has a hard time digesting while performing a high-intensity physical exercise. Some riders are good with gels alone, while others need real food. I recommend practicing this beforehand so you will know what works for your stomach. Don’t try anything new on the race day! If possible, try to have some real food during the ride. The races I’ve participated in provided feed stations, and even real, warm meals. They were a real lifesaver as I didn’t have to carry too many gels in my jersey pockets. When taking in fluids, remember to add some electrolytes every once in a while. Overhydrating with plain water can dilute your sodium levels and even lead to hyponatremia.

Well done! I understand you might feel nauseous and have no appetite at this point. Try to have a protein or recovery drink if you are not able to have a proper meal within 30–60 minutes after you finish. This will kickstart your recovery. Remember to eat enough for the rest of the day as you have just completed a very energy-consuming exercise. Also remember to rest properly before resuming to physical activity.

Returning to running after an injury can be both exciting and challenging. While the urge to get back on the road or trail is strong, the key to a successful comeback lies in patience, consistency, and listening to your body. Rushing the process may risk re-injury, so it’s essential to approach this transition with care. The first step is ensuring you are truly ready. This often means consulting with a doctor or physiotherapist to confirm that the injury has healed and you are cleared for physical activity. Incorporating rehabilitation exercises, strength training, and mobility work into your routine before resuming running will help rebuild stability and reduce the chance of recurrence. When you start running again, begin gradually. Many runners benefit from a walk-run program, alternating short jogs with walking intervals. This approach allows the body to adapt to impact stresses without overloading the recovering tissues. Keep the runs short, slow, and infrequent at first, focusing on good form rather than speed or mileage. Cross-training can play a valuable role during this phase. Activities like cycling, swimming, or elliptical workouts provide cardiovascular conditioning without the same level of strain on injured areas. Over time, as your body adjusts, you can progressively increase the duration and intensity of your runs. Equally important is monitoring how your body responds. Mild stiffness is common, but sharp pain or swelling is a warning sign to stop and reassess. Rest, ice, and professional advice may be necessary if discomfort persists. Finally, adopt a long-term mindset. Returning to running isn’t about quickly regaining lost fitness — it’s about creating a sustainable foundation for future performance. With patience, discipline, and self-awareness, many runners not only recover but come back stronger and more resilient than before.

Coffee is one of the world’s most popular beverages, enjoyed daily by millions of people for its taste, aroma, and energizing qualities. Beyond its cultural significance, a growing body of research highlights the many health benefits associated with moderate coffee consumption. From improved alertness to long-term disease prevention, coffee offers more than just a morning boost. One of the most immediate and well-known benefits of coffee is its stimulating effect. Caffeine, the primary active compound in coffee, acts as a natural stimulant for the central nervous system. It blocks adenosine, a neurotransmitter that promotes tiredness, thereby increasing alertness, focus, and reaction time. For many, a cup of coffee in the morning or during the workday can enhance productivity, concentration, and mental performance. Coffee also contains a rich array of antioxidants, which play a critical role in protecting the body from oxidative stress and inflammation. These antioxidants, such as chlorogenic acids, may contribute to the reduced risk of chronic diseases often linked to coffee consumption. Regular coffee drinkers, according to numerous studies, have a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. In addition to protecting the brain and cardiovascular system, coffee has been shown to support liver health. Research suggests that drinking coffee may lower the risk of liver diseases, including fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. The liver-friendly benefits appear stronger in those who consume coffee consistently over many years. Athletes and active individuals can also benefit from coffee. Caffeine enhances physical performance by increasing adrenaline levels, improving endurance, and reducing the perception of effort during exercise. This makes coffee a natural, cost-effective pre-workout drink for those looking to maximize their training sessions. Furthermore, coffee has been linked to mental well-being. Moderate consumption is associated with a lower risk of depression and may improve overall mood. While it is not a substitute for professional treatment, the uplifting effect of coffee can contribute positively to daily emotional resilience. Of course, moderation is key. Excessive intake can lead to side effects such as insomnia, jitteriness, or digestive issues, particularly in individuals sensitive to caffeine. Most health experts recommend limiting consumption to three to four cups per day to maximize benefits while minimizing risks. In conclusion, coffee is more than just a comforting ritual or a quick energy fix. It is a complex beverage packed with bioactive compounds that support both mental and physical health. From boosting focus and performance to protecting against chronic diseases, coffee has earned its place as a beneficial part of a balanced lifestyle. When enjoyed mindfully and in moderation, a daily cup — or two — can be both a pleasure and a powerful ally for long-term health.
