I’ve spent $3,200 testing the best AI LinkedIn profile picture generators.
In this list, I will show you the best AI LinkedIn photo generators with my results.
Let’s go!
1. BetterPic
Best overall AI LinkedIn headshot generator

BetterPic is my top pick for making professional LinkedIn headshots.
It gave me some of the best photos I’ve seen for my profile.
So what makes it my favorite?
It’s the customization. The best part is the human editing option.
With the Expert plan, a real editor works on your photos to make sure they look like you. I’ll show you my results with this in a moment.
My Experience with BetterPic

I upgraded to the Expert plan on BetterPic just for the human edit feature. The tool is very easy to use.
Sign up here and follow these instructions:

Enter your name, ethnicity, why you need the photos, your gender, and eye color.
Then pick a few styles for your AI headshots.

Choose all three options to get the most accurate results and the most variety.

Read the image instructions carefully. They decide how good your LinkedIn headshots will be. If you upload poor or blurry photos, the AI will not know what you look like.
I suggest adding photos with different lighting, outfits, and poses. This gives the AI a clear picture of your appearance.
Here’s the image guide for reference:

Here are images I used to train the AI:

After I picked the images, the tool checked their quality and removed any that were too low in resolution. Then it was time to create the LinkedIn headshots.

It took around 20 to 30 minutes to create 100 different images of me. Here are the results:

I liked one of them so much that I changed my LinkedIn profile picture right away.

Here are more AI-generated LinkedIn photos that I got from this tool:

Not all the images came out perfect.
As BetterPic says on the results page, most look great, some are good, and a few don’t work as well.
For example, in this one, there are small artifacts around my face and teeth.

I can clearly see them — can you?
The good thing about BetterPic is you can fix these AI artifacts easily. Just click the BP AI Edit button and you’re set.

You can also ask the BetterPic team for a manual edit to make sure the photo looks exactly like you.
Just pick an image and choose the “Human Edit” option from the list:

This is so handy, especially for teams who want similar photos.
Pros
- Faster than most tools (about 25 minutes instead of 1–2 hours)
- Very realistic images with only 8 input photos
- Simple and easy-to-use interface
- AI editing options like background removal, eye color changes, and outfit changes
Cons
- Not instant — 25 minutes might feel slow for some
- Sometimes has flaws like odd eyes or imperfect teeth, similar to other AI tools
Pricing

- Basic: $35 (one time)
- Pro: $39 (one time)
- Expert: $79 (one time)
To Take Home
I really like BetterPic. The results look very real, and it’s faster than most other AI headshot tools.
If you’re not happy with the results, you can get a refund, so there’s no real risk.
If you need professional headshots for your CV, social media, LinkedIn, or anywhere else, it’s worth trying.
2. HeadshotsByAI
Best high-quality LinkedIn profile pics

Next, let’s look at HeadshotsByAI. It’s another AI headshot tool that turns your camera roll photos into professional-looking images.
It produces some of the best-quality pictures I’ve seen.
Let’s take a look.
My Experience
To use this tool, go to the HeadshotsByAI homepage and sign up for the service.

Choose the “Personal Branding” option to start creating images of yourself. Then pick your gallery from the dashboard:

Enter your characteristics and details to this view:

Select the photos of yourself you want to use. Here are the ones I chose again:

Click “Start training.” This sends your photos to the AI photographer so it can learn from them.

The AI takes some time to create the headshots — about 45 to 60 minutes in my last test.

You’ll get an email when your images are ready.
Here’s the email that I got back:

Here are some of my LinkedIn AI headshots that I got from this tool:

Pretty amazing, right? These images look so real that it’s hard to tell the difference. Here are more photos the AI made for me:

I really like the lighting and outfits in these photos.
The lighting and quality are better than any other tool I’ve used.
The only thing that bothers me is that my forehead looks a bit tall in some shots. You probably wouldn’t notice it — I just notice because I’ve seen my face in the mirror so many times.
There are also a few small flaws, like odd teeth and skin that looks too smooth.

Most of the headshots are epic, and I think only a couple failed miserably.
I definitely recommend testing it out.
Pros
- Faster than many tools (about 25 minutes instead of 1–2 hours)
- Very realistic images with only 8 input photos
- Simple and easy-to-use interface
- AI editing options like background removal, eye color changes, and outfit changes
Cons
- Not instant — 25 minutes might feel slow for some
- Sometimes has flaws like odd eyes or imperfect teeth, similar to other AI tools
Pricing

- Basic: $29 for 30 headshots
- Standard: $39 for 60 headshots
- Premium: $59 for 120 headshots
3. Portrait Pal
Best vintage-style LinkedIn AI pictures

Portrait Pal turns your selfies into professional AI LinkedIn headshots, just like some of the other tools on this list.
It’s very simple to use — upload your photos, wait a little, and you’ll get 100 images back.
It’s especially good for vintage-style headshots with lots of variety.
Let’s see what it made for me.
My Experience
Here are my real images that I sent to the AI:

Here are the AI-generated headshots I got from PortraitPal:

They look very real and close to how I look in person.
To make your own headshots, go to this page and click “Create Your Headshots Now.”

To create your LinkedIn photos with PortraitPal, sign up to the service.
Start creating your images by adding your details like gender, age, eye color, and ethnicity.
Then upload several photos of yourself. Be sure to read the instructions first.

Use clear photos without other people in them, and skip any silly faces.
This helps the AI get a better idea of your appearance in different settings.
Drop your images into the upload area like this:

Then wait for the AI to create your LinkedIn headshots.

You’ll get an email when your images are ready. Here are some of the results it made for me:

Here are some more results:

In my opinion, these look calm, stylish, and most importantly, just like me.
They have very few artifacts or blemishes compared to most other tools I’ve tried.
Pros
- Fast (30–45 minutes instead of days or weeks with a real photographer)
- Very realistic results
- Lots of variety in scenes, lighting, and outfits
Cons
- Some UX issues, like allowing duplicate uploads and having a lenient rejection policy
- No editing options — you can only view and download
Pricing

- Starter: $35 (one-time)
- Basic: $45 (one-time)
- Premium: $75 (one-time)
4. Aragon AI
Best LinkedIn headshots with custom AI editing options

Aragon AI is a powerful AI portrait generator. The results are excellent, especially after their recent update to the face generator. Let’s see how it worked on my images.
My Experience
First, go to the Aragon AI headshot generator homepage and sign up.
Click “Create Headshots” to start the process.
Then answer these questions:

Next, choose your main style.
I picked the business casual look.

Now upload your photos to the tool. Be sure to read the instructions first.

Upload your images.
Here are the ones I used (the same ones I’ve used for every tool on this list).

Once that’s done, double-check your details:

Submit your order and wait for your AI LinkedIn headshots to be created.

About 30 minutes later, Aragon AI will email you when your headshots are ready.

Here are the professional LinkedIn headshots the AI made for me:

So cool! Here are a few more:

If you don’t like some of the images, click the Edit button to make AI changes. I’d say about 80% of my Aragon headshots are so realistic that my friends couldn’t even tell they were AI-made.
Pros
- Realistic, sharp, and high-quality results
- Faster than many AI headshot tools
- The updated AI is even more lifelike than before
- Lots of editing features that most platforms don’t have
Cons
- A few photos look unrealistic or distorted, but that’s common with all AI headshot tools
- Some poses look odd — I prefer the ones where I’m just standing or sitting, not using my hands
Pricing

- Starter: $35 for 20 headshots
- Basic: $45 for 60 headshots
- Premium: $75 for 100 headshots
5. AI SuitUp
Best on-budget AI LinkedIn profile pictures

AI SuitUp is one of the best AI headshot tools, and it costs less than $30.
It’s not higher on the list because you can’t customize your AI photos.
That said, the results are usually so good that you don’t really need to.
Here’s what I got from it.
My Experience
First, head over to this page.

I suggest the Professional plan because it gives you 100 headshots. But you can still get a good idea of the results with the Basic plan, since the price doesn’t change the quality.

Next, read the AI headshot instructions to see what kinds of photos you should upload.

Then enter your characteristics:

Upload your selfies from your phone’s camera roll — no professional photos needed.

If an image is too small, the upload might fail. If that happens, just pick another one.
The tool will then ask for your best photo, which the AI will use as the base image.

Then click “Send.”

Wait about an hour or two. When your images are ready, you’ll get an email from the AI tool.
You don’t need to keep the window open. For me, it took about 60–120 minutes, so I just closed it and waited for the email.
Here’s the email I got — and yes, I was excited:

When the email arrives, click the link to see your headshots. Here are my results:

Pretty cool, right? They look just like me. You can use the like and dislike buttons to remove any images you don’t want from the gallery.

Be sure to save the email or catalog link, since you can’t sign in to AI SuitUp. It’s the only way to access your images later.
Pros
- Cheaper than many other AI headshot tools
- Simple to use — just upload selfies and wait about an hour
- Realistic results that look just like you
- Good variety and versatility in the images
- Few to no artifacts in most photos
Cons
- Some images may fail or not look like you
- A few images have a slight 3D-rendered look
- No customization — you have to work with what you get
Pricing

- Basic: $27 (Originally $59)
- Professional: $37 (Originally $69)
- Ultimate: $57 (Originally $99)
6. The Multiverse AI
Best AI-editable LinkedIn AI profile pictures

The Multiverse AI is a headshot generator that takes your selfies, analyzes them, and gives you a set of high-quality professional headshots.
It also has a custom feature where you can prompt your own images.
I’ll show you what that means in a moment.
My Experience
First, go to this page and click “Get Your Photos.”

Next, you’ll see a screen asking you to upload photos of yourself. Avoid uploading a bunch of selfies in a row.

Upload your images. I’m using the same ones for all the tools on this list so I can compare the results.

As you can see, these are mostly close-up headshots or selfies. The Multiverse AI has an editor you can use to crop them. Go through each photo and crop it based on the guidelines.

One problem I had was that the tool rejected almost all my uploads. This was because the images were too small.

You can use an upscaler or pick another image if this happens.
If you don’t have many images of yourself to begin with, just take some photos in different scenes with your mobile device — remember, don’t upload a series of selfies.

Then upload and wait.

For me, the AI took about 60 minutes to create the images. You can close the window during this time since everything happens online.
You can even turn off your computer.
When the AI is done, you’ll get an email like this:

Here are the AI headshots I got from The Multiverse AI:

What a handsome guy I am!
These look completely real to me. Although, the bottom-one looks a bit strange and not exactly like me but rather a 3D character.
To compare, here’s what I look like in the real life:

The resolution and lighting might not be perfect, but the AI still captured my facial features well and placed me in professional-looking images.
Here are more AI-generated headshots of me:

There are a lot of these — probably around 100 AI-generated professional headshots in total.

You should try it — especially the AI custom feature that lets you tell the AI exactly what you want in your images.
After making your images, you can go to themultiverse.ai/custom/.
You can get 10% off with my link and the coupon code ARTTURI.
Pros
- Realistic headshots that look professionally taken
- Lots of variety in settings and styles
- Great for CVs or LinkedIn profiles
- High resolution with no obvious “AI” look
Cons
- Takes over 60 minutes to process
- Some images have a slightly artificial feel compared to newer models
- Many of my uploads weren’t ideal for the AI to work with
- No free trial available
Pricing

The Multiverse AI costs $29.00. You can use the promo code HEADSHOTS along with my link to get 10% off.
7. Profilebakery
Best AI LinkedIn headshots that include a happiness guarantee

Next on my list is ProfileBakery. It takes 6–15 photos of you and gives back 30–60 professional headshots with different lighting, outfits, and backgrounds. Let’s see how it works.
My Experience
First, go to their homepage and start creating.

The instructions for the input images are clear and simple to follow:

Don’t use random selfies, blurry shots, or photos with other people. Choose clear images with good lighting, different outfits, and a variety of backgrounds. I used photos from my phone’s camera roll.
Here are some of the real photos I used:

Drop your images into the view.

The tool also asks for one “baseline image,” which sets the main facial expression for your results. If you want more smiles in your photos, choose one where you’re smiling.

Then wait. It took about 3–4 hours for me to get my LinkedIn headshots.

You can close the window — you’ll get an email when the images are ready. All the processing happens on ProfileBakery’s servers, so there’s no need to wait.

Here are my AI LinkedIn photos:

It’s a little odd that the results come through Google Drive, but that’s fine. Let’s take a closer look.

They’re decent, but not among the best. They have a bit of a 3D character feel, and in my experience, I’ve gotten similar results from free tools like Supawork.
Pros
- Creates realistic and professional-looking LinkedIn headshots
- Offers a good variety of outfits, poses, and backgrounds
- Has built-in tools to improve AI-generated images
Cons
- Produces fewer images than many other AI headshot tools
- The interface is a bit basic, but the results are still good
- Processing takes longer than some alternatives
Pricing

- AI Mini: $24
- AI Regular: $29
- AI Pro: $49
