In this post, I’ll test Claude the AI Chatbot. Claude is an AI assistant created by Anthropic.
The current model is Claude Sonnet 4.
It can be utilized for creating text, assist with writing, and it even has a different mode for coding. In this review, I’ll test how suitable Claude is for AI-assisted fiction writing.

How to Use It
You can get started with Claude by entering their website. I signed up with my Google account and tested the Free plan.
You are asked some questions about your intentions, to help to tailor your user experience.
My Results
Like I mentioned, I tested Claude for fictional writing.
First, Claude was giving me ideas on how to start my novel and possible storylines. I was trying to guide it to generating the story for me.
Finally, Claude wrote a chapter for me. It generated around 1,300 words for my opening chapter.
I was really satisfied with the result! The story turned out exactly how I wanted: told from the dog’s perspective, exploring the world as a puppy, and written with emotional depth.
To test different prompts, I asked Claude to rewrite the text, but this time, in a scarier tone. Text sounds way more natural and smooth compared to some other AI tools.
Claude emphasizes AI safety and minimizes harmful content, so if you’re looking to create extremely graphic or gory content, it may not be the best tool.

Claude is a great AI assistant tool to support you in your writing process, in addition to many other things. In addition to writing, it can be utilized to all kinds of tasks, like simple coding, document processing, etc. You can brainstorm with the conversational chat-based AI if you’re feeling stuck in your writing process, or get feedback on your writing.
The writing style is very natural and human-like, and you can do different prompts to change tone, etc. Great tool, even though is not specifically designed for creating fictional content.
