The Step-by-Step Guide

I’ve talked a lot about AI headshots on this channel. However, most of the headshots cost $50 or more.

PhotoPacks AI headshots are an exception, though. This tool lets you create epic AI headshots for just $19.

Also, creating the headshots couldn’t be easier.

#1 Sign Up

First, sign up to PhotoPacks AI.

Then click on “Get your headshots”.

#2 Place an Order

Then buy an AI photoshoot for $19 from PhotoPacks.

#3 Specify Your Characteristics

Answer a couple of basic questions to set your characteristics for the AI to create better results.

#4 Pick a Style

Then you get to choose the AI photoshoot style. There are lots of options to choose from.

The most popular headshot type right now is the “Headshots” style. However, I went with “Business” as I wanted to see how good business pictures this tool creates for me.

#5 Upload Selfies

Then it’s time to let the AI know what you look like.

In other words, it’s time to upload your images to it.

Before you do that, please read the instructions to get the best possible AI headshots back.

Keep the lighting good and bring in natural poses.

Don’t show up with others. Use high-quality images only (you can take those with your mobile device camera).

Here are the real images of myself that I used:

#6 Wait for Your Headshots

Once you’ve uploaded your pictures, it’s time to wait.

PhotoPacks AI is a bit of a slower headshot generator—it can take up to 24 hours for you to receive the headshots.

However, for me, it only took 3–4 hours. Also, this is much faster than hiring a photographer.

#7 Check Your Email

Once your headshots are ready, you’ll receive an email with a link to the headshot page:

Click on that link, and you will find your AI photoshoot.

For me, it’s called “Business” because I chose the business headshot style. Just click on the link to view the headshots.

#8 Enjoy the Results

Here are some results I got:

I mean, c’mon! Aren’t those epic? Most of them look exactly like me.

Here are more results in more environments, clothing, and whatnot:

I really like those.

Here’s my favorite business AI headshot that I got from PhotoPacks:

And to be transparent, here’s my least favorite one:

Speaking of least favorites, don’t be disappointed if you get a lot of unusable headshots.

With AI headshots, typically, the success rate is only 20% in my experience; 2 images out of 10 are something you can use.

The problem with the AI headshots is that some of those are morphed, uncanny, or otherwise malformed—and that’s normal and applies to all AI headshots, not just PhotoPacks AI.

That being said, I’d definitely say it’s worth a shot. Out of the 100 headshots I got, I’d say at least 10–20 are something I could use on my social media profiles.

Pricing

As I mentioned, PhotoPacks AI is the best on-budget AI headshot generator.

Previously, I’ve seen tools that cost $29 or even $25, but this one is just $19, which is impressive.

My Honest Take

I love my AI headshots. I found a bunch of usable ones that look exactly like me.

I think it’s perfectly fine to use AI headshots on your social media profiles—especially on platforms like LinkedIn because it’s just business.

Of course, I would not fake my wedding headshots or any other meaningful events with AI. But when it just comes to showing what you look like in the best attire and lighting, I think it’s just a waste of time to spend money on photography, renting clothes, or stressing about the awkward photoshoots.

The only downside of the AI headshots is that it’s always a coin flip. Also, PhotoPacks doesn’t let you customize your photos, so if there’s a good-looking image but something’s off, you can’t do much about it.

But because you get so many images, you’ll for sure find at least a handful of epic images that look exactly like you.
