In this post, I‘ll review Hypotenuse AI. Writing emails takes more time than we’d like to admit, so I decided to try out a few AI tools to see if they can do it for you.
In my reviews, I’ll only test free tools or tools with a free trial available.
Let’s dive in!

My Experience
Next up, I’ll show you some of the key features and how I found the email writer features.
After signing up, you land here on your dashboard. Hypotenuse AI is a platform for e-commerce, meaning it has all the tools to generate marketing content and SEO-friendly articles, etc. I mainly tested the email writer and a few features that could be useful.
You can find the Email copy feature from dashboard, when scrolling all the way down to the “Newsletter & comms” section and selecting “Email copy”.

Now, you can start writing from scratch or use a prompt and keywords to let the AI generate your message. You can also type a few words as a starting point and let the AI finish the email by clicking Continue writing.

A draft is generated and you can insert it into the Editor to make modifications. The language is somewhat AI-like, as I didn’t provide much of my own text. You can adjust the tone in the previous window, and also generate multiple drafts.

You can also just generate text in this Document editor. Start writing your email and then click on Continue writing to let the AI finish writing.

This is what it generated for me, again without any context. You can either accept or discard the generated text and regenerate. The text is quite vague and general as it is; try adding a few more details to make the generated text sound more tailored.

Another convenient feature is HypoChat. Similar to ChatGPT, it’s a conversational chatbot that can fetch information from the web in real time. You can also insert the content generated by HypoChat directly into the text editor.

Pros
- Ecommerce focus
- Good for creators who need a quantity of content
- Easy to use and has convenient integrations
Cons
- The output needs to be proofread
- Not the best tool for individuals or non-marketers
- No email marketing integrations
Pricing
Here are the pricing plans of Hypotenuse AI.

- Entry: $19/month
- Essential: $56/month
- Blog Pro: $150/month
To Take Home
Hypotenuse AI is an AI platform for marketers. It’s best suited for eCommerce companies, especially online stores with Shopify integration. The bulk product description feature allows you to create large amounts of content quickly.
I was specifically interested in the Email writer and other features that could be useful for generating emails, so many other interesting features, like the AI image generator, remained untested in this review.
My user experience as an individual freelancer was a bit bland. The content it generated for me was quite general and repetitive. Using the Brand Voice feature might improve the text quality, and more detailed prompts could help make the content feel more tailored. The text could work for basic social media posts, but not for more specialized content, not without human editing at least. A basic tool, but nothing special.
