I tried the Loudly AI Music Generator and took a look at its main features, plus the pros and cons.
The goal here is to see if it’s actually one of the best AI music generators out there, or at least close to it.
I’ll also cover what kind of rights you get for the music you create with it.

How to Use It and My Experience
Let’s get started. Here’s how you can generate songs with Loudly.
Go to their website and sign up with your preferred account.
In this review, I’ll be testing all the features that come with the Free plan.

Click on “Generate music” and it will take you to your dashboard.

Loudly offers a few different ways to make music. Let’s start by testing the AI Music Generator. It creates several tracks for you based on the genre and subgenre you choose.

You can adjust the settings however you like. You can choose the instruments yourself or randomize them if you’re not sure what to pick. You can also change the tempo, energy, and structure of the track. If you want, you can even add your own audio clips, like a short recording of you playing the piano.

The tracks are instrumental only, so there are no vocals. The free plan limits how long your tracks can be, but the results were surprisingly good. They sounded like intro themes from a horror game.

If you want to edit your tracks further, click the three dots and choose “Edit in studio” from the drop-down menu.
The studio lets you adjust different parts of the track, and the real-time playback makes it easy to experiment, even if you’re not sure what you’re doing.

Another feature in Loudly is the AI Sample Generator. It lets you create short sound-effect style audio clips using a text prompt. You can also use the loop option to make short audio loops that work well for TikToks, Instagram stories, or other short-form videos.

“Walking on high heels” prompt produced these three tracks. Have a listen below, it’s very accurate!

The Stem Splitter feature separates a track or audio file into different parts, such as vocals, drums, bass, and instruments, and saves them as individual files.

The AI Text to Music feature works almost the same way as the regular AI Music Generator, except it doesn’t include instrument settings. It’s a text-to-music tool where you describe what kind of track you want.
You can also click the little dice icon to get a random prompt if you just want to try it out.
I used it to generate these tracks with the random prompt “Epic score that feels like the rise of a great hero in a fantasy world.”

You can also find ready-made song templates that can be customized.

To Take Home
Loudly is an AI music platform that makes it easy to create and customize tracks, stems, and remixes. With the paid plans, you get commercial rights and can monetize your music.
The only catch is that your music needs to be distributed through Loudly’s own service. Everything you make, including soundtracks and other audio, is royalty-free.
I was happy with my experience using the free version. Track generation was quick and simple, and the interface was clean and easy to use. There are plenty of customization options, and even someone new to music production can use them without trouble.
The tracks I made were of good quality. My favorite feature was the SFX generator. With just a short text prompt, I could create accurate sound effects, like the sound of walking in high heels. The only downside is that Loudly only makes instrumental content, so you can’t generate vocals or lyrics.
