Fiverr Pro AI Colorization
Fiverr is a freelance platform that is simple and affordable to use.
You can find photo colorization services there. This means you can hire professional photo editors to add color to your old black-and-white photos.
#1 Sign Up
To start, first, find a freelancer in the Photo Colorization experts on Fiverr.
I picked Sachin, who looked the most promising talent to me.
#2 Contact
I then sent him a message through his contact page.
This is useful because everything on Fiverr can be done in just a few clicks.
#3 Get a Sample
I asked him to colorize this photo and see if he could provide a free sample first.
He replied quickly and not only gave me details about the gig, but he had also already made a colorized sample for me.
As you can see from my messages, I was really happy with the result.
I then asked for another sample with a different shirt color.
Next, I asked if he could make three versions of the original photo:
- One with a red shirt
- One with a blue shirt
- One with a black shirt
He said that was fine and that he would send me an offer soon.
#4 Accept the Offer
Then, about three minutes later, he sent me the offer.
#5 Pay the Gig
I accepted this gig and paid for it.
This one came out to around $20. There are cheaper and more expensive gigs too. The price depends on the creator you choose.
#6 Enjoy the Results
I got my colorized photos back just about two hours after paying for the gig.
Here are the results, shown side by side with the original image:
That’s pretty great, if you ask me. I also like that it’s not just someone using a free AI tool to colorize the photos. The images are sharper, there’s no noise, and the overall quality is much better.
It’s a mix of AI and professional photo editing—much better than using free online AI colorizers.
#7 Ask for Edits
Fiverr is useful because they make sure you’re completely satisfied.
You can ask the freelancer to make changes. Once you get the image, just click on “I’m not ready yet” on the page.
This lets you give the freelancer custom instructions.
For example, if you’re colorizing an old photo, you can ask them to change the colors of clothes, houses, cars, or anything that doesn’t look right.
