You can also request a manual edit from the BetterPic team to ensure the image looks exactly like you.
Just select an image and choose the “Human Edit” option on the list:

That’s super handy — especially for teams looking for consistent, uniform images across the board.
Pros:
- Faster than most tools (25 minutes vs. 1–2 hours).
- Highly realistic images with just 8 input photos.
- Smooth, easy-to-use interface.
- AI editing options (background removal, eye color, attire changes).
Cons:
- Not instant; 25 minutes might feel slow to some.
- Occasional flaws (strange eyes, imperfect teeth), similar to other AI tools.
Pricing

- Basic: $35 (one time)
- Pro: $39 (one time)
- Expert: $79 (one time)
To Take Home
I’m a big fan of BetterPic. The results are incredibly realistic, and it’s faster than most other AI headshot generators.
Plus, if you’re not happy with the results, you can get a refund, so there’s really no risk.
If you need professional headshots for your CV, social media, LinkedIn, or anywhere else, give it a try!
2. HeadshotsByAI
Best high-quality LinkedIn profile images

Next, let me introduce HeadshotsByAI. This is another AI headshot generator that transforms your camera roll images into professional-quality photos.
It creates some of the highest-quality pictures I’ve seen.
Let’s check it out!
My Experience
First, head over to the HeadshotsByAI homepage and sign up.

Select the “Personal Branding” option to begin generating images of yourself. Then, choose your gallery from the dashboard:

Enter your details:

Choose the input images of yourself. Here are the ones I used (once again.)

Click “Start training.” This will send your images to the “AI photographer” to train on.

It takes a little while for the AI to generate the headshots — around 45–60 minutes based on my last test.

This tool will notify you via email once the images are ready.
Here’s the email that I got back:

Click the link and enjoy the LinkedIn headshots:

Here are some of my LinkedIn AI headshot results:

Isn’t that amazing? These images look so realistic that you can hardly tell the difference, in my opinion. Here are more photos the AI created for me:

I love the lighting and attire in these images.
The lighting and overall quality are definitely better than any other tool I’ve tried.
The biggest issue for me is that my forehead looks a bit too tall in some images.
You probably wouldn’t notice that though — it’s just something I’m sensitive to because I’ve seen myself in the mirror so many times.
There are also a few artifacts, like messed-up teeth and overly smooth skin.

But that’s subtle and rare. Most of the headshots are epic!
Pricing

- Basic: $29 for 30 headshots
- Standard: $39 for 60 headshots
- Premium: $59 for 120 headshots
3. Portrait Pal
Best vintage-style LinkedIn AI headshots

Portrait Pal turns your selfies into professional AI LinkedIn headshots—similar to other tools on the list.
This tool is really easy to use — just upload your pictures, wait a bit, and you’ll receive 100 stunning images.
It’s great for creating vintage-style headshots with plenty of variability.
Let’s see what I got from it!
My Experience with Portrait Pal
Here are the real images I used to train the AI.

And here are the AI-generated headshots:

They’re incredibly realistic and really close to how I look in person.
To create your headshots, head over to this page.
Click “Create Your Headshots Now.”

First, sign up:

Then start creating your images. Specify your characteristics, such as gender, age, eye color, and ethnicity.
Then, upload a bunch of images of yourself. Please read the instructions first, though.

Use only clear images with no other people in the frame, and avoid making silly faces.
This way, the AI can better understand what you look like in different contexts.
Simply drop your images into the view like this:

Then wait.

You’ll receive an email once the images are ready. Here are some of the results it created for me:

Here are more results:

If you ask me, those look soothing, cool, and more importantly, exactly like me.
These have very few artifacts and blemishes, unlike most of the other tools I’ve tested.
Pros:
- Fast (30–45 minutes vs. days or weeks with a real photographer).
- Highly realistic results.
- Wide variety of images with different scenes, lighting, and attire.
Cons:
- UX issues (allows duplicate uploads, lenient rejection policy).
- No editing options; only view and download.
Pricing

- Starter: $35 (one-time)
- Basic: $45 (one-time)
- Premium: $75 (one-time)
To Take Home
Portrait Pal lets you create incredibly realistic images. I’m really happy with my results — there are so many different styles and poses to choose from. I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re a fan of vintage style.
4. Aragon AI
Best editing options

Aragon AI is an epic AI portrait generator. The results are outstanding, especially since they recently revamped their AI face generator algorithm. Let’s take a look at what it did for my images.
My Experience
First, open the Aragon AI headshot generator homepage and sign up.
Click on “Create Headshots.” This will begin the headshot generation process.

Answer the basic questions, like your age, to help the AI generate more accurate headshots.

Then choose the key style.
I went with the business casual style.

Then it’s time to upload some images to the tool. Just read the instructions first.

Then upload your images.
Here are the images I used (and have used for every tool on this list so far.)

Once that’s ready, do a double-check with your details:

Then just submit the order and wait for your AI LinkedIn headshots to generate.

Aragon AI will send you an email in about 30 minutes to let you know your headshots are ready.

Here are my professional LinkedIn headshots that the AI just created:

That’s so cool! Here are some more:

If you’re not happy with some of the images, you can click the Edit button to make AI adjustments. I’d say about 80% of my headshots with Aragon are epic and so realistic that my friends couldn’t even tell it wasn’t me.
Pros:
- Realistic results that are sharp and high quality.
- Quicker than most AI headshot generators.
- The refreshed AI is even more realistic than before.
- A lot of editing features that most platforms don’t offer.
Cons:
- Some poses look strange. I prefer the ones where I’m just standing or sitting, but not when my hands are doing something.
- Some photos look unrealistic or morphed — but that’s a common issue with all AI headshot generators.
Pricing

- Starter: $35 for 20 headshots
- Basic: $45 for 60 headshots
- Premium: $75 for 100 headshots
5. AI SuitUp
Best on-budget AI LinkedIn headshots

AI SuitUp is one of the best AI headshot tools, and it comes at a sub-$30 pricing plan.
The reason it’s not higher on the list is that it doesn’t let you customize your AI photos.
However, the results are usually so good that customization isn’t necessary.
Let me show you the kinds of images I got with it.
My Experience
To start creating, first, head over to this page.

I recommend the Professional plan since it gives you 100 headshots. However, you can still get a good idea of the results with the Basic plan, as the price doesn’t affect the quality.

Then read the AI headshot instructions on what kinds of images you should send over.

Then specify your characteristics:

Upload your selfies by selecting them from your mobile device’s camera roll — no need for professional photos.

Sometimes the upload might fail if the images are too small. If that happens, just choose another image.
The tool will then ask you to upload the best picture of yourself, which the AI will use as the base image.

Then hit “send.”

Then, wait for about an hour or two. Once the AI has generated your images, you’ll receive an email notifying you that the AI-generated photos are ready.
(You don’t need to wait for the images to generate. For me, it took about 60–120 minutes, so just close the window and wait for the email.)
Here’s an email I got and I also got excited:

Once you get the email, click the link to view your headshots. Here are my results:

Aren’t those cool? They look exactly like me! You can use the like/dislike buttons to remove any images you don’t like from the gallery.

Make sure to save the email/catalog link, as you can’t sign in to AI SuitUp. This is the only way to access your images in the future.
Pros:
- Cheaper than similar AI headshot generators.
- Easy to use — just upload selfies and wait for about an hour.
- Realistic results that look exactly like you.
- Variety and versatility in the generated images.
- Little to no artifacts in most images.
Cons:
- Some images may fail and not look like you.
- Some images have a 3D-rendered vibe.
- No customization features — you have to be satisfied with what you get.

6. The Multiverse AI
Best customizable LinkedIn AI headshots—10% off with code ARTTURI

The Multiverse AI is an AI headshot generator that takes your selfies, analyzes them, and returns a collection of high-quality professional headshots.
But that’s not all — there’s a custom feature that allows you to prompt your own images.
I’ll show you what this means in just a moment.
My Experience
First, head over to this page and click “Get your photos”.

Next, you’ll see a view that prompts you to add images of yourself. Make sure not to upload a series of selfies!

Upload the images. I’ll use the same ones across all the tools on this list to compare the results.

As you can see, those are relatively close-up headshots or selfies. The Multiverse AI includes an editor you can use to crop the images. Go through each image and crop them according to the guidelines provided.

One issue I ran into was that the tool rejected almost every image I uploaded. This happened because the images were too small.

Just use an image upscaler to make your images bigger if this happens to you.

Next, drop an image into the Multiverse AI editor again.
Repeat this with every image until you have 12 images in total.
If you don’t have that many, just take some photos in different scenes with your mobile device — remember, don’t upload a series of selfies.

Then it’s time to hit “Upload” and wait.

In my case, the AI took about 60 minutes to create the images. You can close the window at this point, as everything happens online.
You can even shut down your computer after this step.
Once the AI has finished creating the images, you’ll receive an email like this:

Here are the AI headshots I got from TheMultiverseAI:

What a handsome guy I am! These look 100% real to me. Maybe the right-most image isn’t as accurate, but the two on the left… I’m speechless!
Here are some of the real images of myself that I sent for comparison:

The resolution and lighting might not be the best, but the AI still managed to perfectly capture my facial features and place me in those professional images.
Here are more AI-generated headshots of myself:

There are tons of these images — probably around 100 or so AI-generated professional headshots in total.

You have to give it a try — especially with the AI custom feature that lets you tell the AI exactly what you want to see in your images.
After you’ve created your images, you can access the page at themultiverse.ai/custom/.
Get 10% off with my link and by using the coupon ARTTURI.
Pros:
- Realistic headshots that look like they were taken by a professional.
- A lot of different images in various settings.
- Great for use on your CV or LinkedIn profile.
- High resolution — no “robotic” or “AI” look.
Cons:
- 60+ minutes of waiting time.
- Some artificial vibe in the images, especially compared to newer models.
- Most of my images weren’t ideal for the AI to analyze.
- Lacks a free trial.
Pricing

The Multiverse AI costs $29.00. You can use the promo code HEADSHOTS along with my link to get 10% off.
7. Profilebakery
Best with a happiness guarantee

The next tool on my list is called ProfileBakery. It takes 6–15 images of yourself and returns 30–60 professional headshots in different lighting, clothing, and scenes. Let’s see how it works!
My Experience
First, head over to their homepage and start creating.

The input image instructions are clear and easy to follow:

Don’t include random selfies, blurry images, or images with others. Use clear images in good lighting with different clothing and scenes. I used images from my mobile device’s camera roll.
Here are some of the real images of myself that I used:

Drop them into the view.

The tool also asks you to add one “baseline image,” which sets the basic facial expression for your output photos. Make sure to choose one where you’re smiling if you want the images to have more smiles in the output.

Then wait. It took about 3–4 hours for me to receive my LinkedIn headshots.

Feel free to close your window and the email system will notify you once the images are ready. This is because all processing happens over the internet in ProfileBakery servers so you don’t need to wait.

Here are my AI headshots:

It’s a bit strange that these come in Google Drive, but whatever. Let’s see the results closer.

Those are decent but definitely not up there with the best ones. It has a 3D character vibe and also, based on my experience, I get similar results from free tools like Supawork.
But you decide.
Pros
- Produces realistic and professional-looking LinkedIn headshots.
- Offers a wide range of outfits, poses, and backgrounds.
- Includes built-in enhancement tools to refine AI-generated images.
Cons
- Generates fewer images compared to other AI headshot tools.
- The user interface feels a bit basic, but the results are surprisingly good.
- Takes longer to process than some alternatives.
Pricing

- AI Mini: $24
- AI Regular: $29
- AI Pro: $49
8. Supawork AI (Free)
Best free AI LinkedIn headshot generator

Supawork is a free AI headshot generator that transforms selfies into professional LinkedIn headshots and resume-ready photos. It provides various styles without requiring sign-up and prioritizes user privacy.
Unlike the paid headshot generators on this list, Supawork is free and only requires one image to generate four AI-enhanced headshots.
While it offers fewer results, it still delivers high-quality images that resemble you.
Let’s see what it created for me.
My Experience
First, you’ll need to answer a few quick questions about your appearance, including gender, age, hair color, eye color, and ethnicity. This helps the AI generate a LinkedIn headshot that closely

Then upload an image of yourself.

Then wait:

After about a minute of processing, you’ll receive a selection of AI-generated LinkedIn headshots that resemble you.
Here are my results:

You can view additional results by opening the options on the left-hand side.
For example, here are some more LinkedIn headshots of me:

That’s pretty impressive, especially for a free tool. But let’s be honest — it’s not a perfect match. The closer you look, the more it resembles a 3D-rendered character rather than a replica.
Also, don’t forget that you can change your backgrounds in the images with the editing options.
Pros
- Fast: Generates LinkedIn headshots in just a couple of minutes.
- One image required: Unlike other AI headshot generators that need 10–20 images, this tool works with just one.
- Semi-realistic: The AI creates images that resemble you.
Cons
- 3D-rendered look: The results often have a game-like, 3D-rendered appearance rather than a natural photo.
- Inconsistent results: Some images feel out of place, looking robotic or not resembling you at all.

9. AIEase (Free)
Fastest free AI LinkedIn headshot generator

AIEase is an AI image platform that offers a free AI headshot generator.
Its workflow is similar to paid AI headshot tools, but it’s completely free and significantly faster. However, the quality reflects the price — you might notice some trade-offs in the results.
Let me show you what it generated for me.
My Experience
Just need to choose a style:

Then upload a selfie:

Then after about 20 seconds, here are your AI headshots for LinkedIn:

Pretty cool, right?
To be honest, it doesn’t quite resemble me. I’d rate it a 5/10 compared to the paid tools on this list. The results are decent, but there’s room for improvement.
Pros
- Free: The tool is completely free to use.
- Fast: It only takes about 30 seconds to generate your headshot.
Cons
- Unrealistic: The results don’t closely resemble me in real life.
- Inaccurate: Since it only uses one input image, the output isn’t as accurate or refined as other tools.

10. HeadshotPro (Free)
Best background-changer AI headshot maker for LinkedIn

Next up is HeadshotPro, an AI-powered background-swapping tool that detects edges and removes you from the original image.
The process is simple: upload your photo, and the tool quickly transforms it into multiple professional LinkedIn headshots with different backgrounds. Much like PFPMaker from my earlier articles, this tool doesn’t generate a new face but instead enhances existing photos with fresh backgrounds.
Let me show you my results!
My results
Here’s my favorite before-after shot it created:

Pretty cool, right? The lighting looks accurate and realistic. However, it’s mostly down to luck. The AI didn’t adjust the lighting on my face — it just happened to match well with a good background from the catalog.
More Results
You can achieve even more consistent results by selecting the background directly from this view:

Noteworthy
This isn’t a traditional headshot generator since it doesn’t create a new face. Instead, it uses AI to remove the background and replace it with a fresh one.
With a variety of pre-made backgrounds available, the process is quick, and you can easily experiment with different options to find one that enhances your image.
One downside is that the backgrounds are fixed — meaning the AI doesn’t generate a new one every time you hit “generate.” Essentially, it’s more of a background remover and changer than a full headshot creator.
But as I showed, if you start with a solid image, the final result can look surprisingly good!

11. PFPMaker
Best HeadshotPro alternative

PFPMaker is an AI-powered tool designed to help you create professional profile pictures in just a few clicks by swapping out the background of your images.
This tool is also free and much faster since it doesn’t generate new images but simply removes the background and replaces it with a pre-built option. So, technically, it’s not a traditional headshot generator.
With robust AI tools for background removal, image enhancement, and template customization, PFPMaker allows you to bring up your existing photos to create a good-looking profile picture.
My Results
Here’s the before-and-after shot I got from PFPMaker:

My Experience
To use this tool, just upload an image to this view:

Then wait for 10 seconds:

Enjoy your images:

Noteworthy
This tool doesn’t generate faces; instead, it removes backgrounds using AI and replaces them with pre-made options.
The process is quick, and you can easily experiment with different backgrounds to see which one complements your image.
However, since the backgrounds are fixed, the AI doesn’t create new ones each time. Essentially, it’s more of a background remover and changer.
But if you start with a good image, the results can be surprisingly great.
Remember that you can also do edits on your images in the tool:

12. ChatGPT + AI Face Swap

Did you know you can also use existing tools (that aren’t specifically AI headshot generators) to create AI headshots? This approach gives you more control and best of all, it’s free to do as many times as you like.
The process is simple:
- Use an AI tool to create an image of a person.
- Take a selfie.
- Swap your face with the AI-generated image.
- Repeat until you find an image you like.
- Enjoy!
For example, here’s an image I created using ChatGPT.

This is a good base image, but it doesn’t look like me at all.
Next, I’ll merge the face from this image with my actual selfie.
To do this free, you can use a tool like https://aifaceswap.io/.
Then, upload the AI-generated image as the “Original image” and use your selfie as the “Face image.” The tool will swap the faces for you, giving you a more realistic headshot with your own face.

After waiting for about 60 seconds, you’ll have your result ready. Here’s what I ended up with:

Looks cool but not even close to what those paid ones can create. Feel free to experiment with it, though.
Before you go…
AI headshot generators are great, but the results aren’t always perfect. They’re fast and efficient, but sometimes features can look off or robotic.
That’s where Betterpic shines. Human editors fine-tune your image to ensure it looks like you — no glitches or awkward vibes.
It combines the speed of AI with human precision, so if the first result isn’t quite right, Betterpic makes sure the final product is spot on.
